Pricing & free tier — last checked

How we checked: read directly from the vendor's own pricing pagesource

The site loads normally, but every obvious pricing path 404s, so there is no published plan structure against which an absolute could be checked.

WhatWhat we foundStatus
Creating and publishingWorks, with asset generation included. We found no paywall in the way of it. Confirmed
Pricing pageNone found. /pricing, /pricing/, /plans and play.rosebud.ai/pricing all return 404 while the site itself returns 200.A 404 on a pricing path while the root loads is a different finding from a blocked request. The site is answering us; it simply does not publish plans at any address we could locate. Vendor doesn't publish this
"Completely free" / "Unlimited games"Both withdrawn — unsupportable without any published limits to check them against. Changed since last check

Checked by the TheToolsVerse Verification Deskby reading the vendor's own published pages, not by testing the product in an account. Rosebud can change prices at any time without notice. The date above is the last time we looked; if it looks old, treat every figure here as unconfirmed and check Rosebud directly before paying.

Editor's Verdict

Official Review
Rosebud lowers the barrier to making a playable game about as far as it currently goes: describe an idea in plain language and it generates assets, mechanics and deployable code, then gives you a shareable web link. For rapid prototyping, game-jam experiments, education, or non-coders who just want to see an idea run, that immediacy is genuinely fun and useful. It's important to set expectations, though — AI game generation today shines on small, simple, browser-based experiences, not commercial or complex titles, and you'll typically iterate through several prompts (and some manual tweaking) to get something that plays well. Generated art and mechanics can feel generic without refinement. Treat it as a fast idea-to-prototype sandbox rather than a studio replacement. Within that scope, and with free creation and one-click publishing, it's one of the more approachable on-ramps into game-making for beginners and hobbyists.

Pros

What we like

  • Generates art, mechanics and deployable code, then publishes with one click
  • No coding required — a genuine on-ramp for beginners and educators

Cons

Limitations

  • Best suited to small, simple browser games, not complex or commercial titles
  • Usually takes several prompts and manual tweaks to get a good result
  • Generated assets can look generic without hand refinement

Pricing

Free to start creating and publishing games. We have withdrawn the word "completely": rosebud.ai loads normally for us but /pricing, /plans and the other obvious paths all return 404, so there is no published plan structure for us to check an absolute against. Checked 7 September 2026.
