The product does not exist. Orchids shut down on 18 July 2026 after the team joined Figma, and we spent roughly seven weeks publishing a five-tier price list, a 4.4 rating and a #1 benchmark verdict for software that cannot be bought.
| What | What we found | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Status | Discontinued. orchids.app returns HTTP 200 and serves only a project-download page: "Per our July 7 announcement, the Orchids team has joined Figma and Orchids has been sunset on July 18."Figma announced the acqui-hire on 7 July 2026. Both Orchids and Bud — the name the product had already rebranded to — stopped operating eleven days later. | Changed since last check |
| What we published before | A live five-tier price list, a 4.4 editor rating, and a verdict calling it #1 on App Bench and UI Bench, all in the present tense, under a product name its own makers had retired. | Changed since last check |
| What is left for past users | A ZIP download of any project, a way to claim an existing deployment into your own Vercel account, and a transfer of any managed Supabase database into your own organisation. Orchids Desktop users already hold their projects locally. | Confirmed |
| Disposition | Page kept and rewritten in the past tense, with indexable:false — which drops it out of category tables, Product structured data and related/alternatives, so we stop recommending it.Kept rather than deleted because someone searching "orchids ai" is better served by being told what happened and how to get their projects out than by a 404. | Confirmed |
Editor verification notes
- Every automated guard passed this listing, because each one asks a question a dead product still answers: the URL 200s, the record agrees with itself, the arithmetic is sound, one tier is quoted at one price. A listing can be internally perfect and entirely false.
Checked by the TheToolsVerse Verification Desk — by reading the vendor's own published pages, not by testing the product in an account. Orchids AI can change prices at any time without notice. The date above is the last time we looked; if it looks old, treat every figure here as unconfirmed and check Orchids AI directly before paying.

Pros
What we like
- Past users can still get their work out: orchids.app offers ZIP downloads, deployment claims into a personal Vercel account, and Supabase database transfers
- While it ran it posted top scores on App Bench and UI Bench, ahead of v0, Bolt and Lovable — measured results rather than marketing claims
- The shutdown was announced with notice and a migration path rather than simply going dark
Cons
Limitations
- The product is discontinued — it shut down on 18 July 2026 and cannot be signed up for at any price
- Anything you built on it needs migrating off, and the migration page is the only remaining service — there is no guarantee how long it stays up

Not for sale. Orchids shut down on 18 July 2026. Figma announced on 7 July 2026 that it had acquired the team, and both Orchids and Bud — the name the product had already rebranded to — stopped operating eleven days later. orchids.app now serves only a migration page for downloading past projects. This page previously listed five tiers — Free $0, Pro $21, Premium $42, Ultra $83 and Max $168 a month billed annually — and continued to publish them for about seven weeks after the product stopped operating. None of those plans can be bought. They are named here only so that anyone who saw the old figures knows they have been withdrawn.
What is Orchids AI?
Quick Summary
Orchids AI is discontinued. It was an AI-powered app builder that created web apps, mobile apps, AI agents, Slack bots and Chrome extensions from a single chat interface, and it could run on your existing ChatGPT, Claude Code, Gemini or GitHub Copilot subscription. Figma announced on 7 July 2026 that it had acquired the team, and the product — renamed Bud by then — was switched off on 18 July 2026. orchids.app now serves only a migration page for downloading past projects. Nothing on this page can be signed up for.
