Official ReviewAppAlchemy trades precise design control for speed, and that is the point. You describe an app in plain English, refine it by chatting, watch it update live on your own phone, and export the code — which AppAlchemy says you own outright. For a non-technical founder that is a genuinely different proposition from a design tool, and we should say plainly that this page previously undersold it as a mockup generator unsuitable for production. The catch is the price of entry: there is no free tier, so the cheapest way to find out whether it suits you is $20 a month for 100 credits, and credits are consumed by every message that builds or edits. Compared with Figma or Uizard you get less layout control and a great deal less setup. Worth it if you intend to ship something; expensive if you only want to look.

What is AppAlchemy.ai?
AppAlchemy builds mobile apps from a conversation. You describe what you want in plain English, refine it by chatting, preview the result live on your own phone, and export the code. Its own site frames this as create, export and launch iOS and Android apps, and its FAQ states that you own both the apps you build and the code AppAlchemy generates for you, exportable at any time.
That is a meaningful change from how this page used to describe the product. We previously presented AppAlchemy as a mockup generator for pitch decks and said explicitly that it was not for production UI. That is no longer a fair description, and the correction runs in the tool's favour rather than against it.
Usage is metered in credits: each message that builds or edits your app spends credits according to how much work the AI does. The company reports more than 230,000 people building and over 110,000 apps created — its own figures, not independently checked.
The important practical caveat is the price of entry. There is no free tier. The cheapest way in is Pro at $20 a month for 100 credits, so unlike most tools in this category you cannot try it properly without paying first. Explore this option.

What can I export from AppAlchemy?
Your code. AppAlchemy states that you own the apps you build and the code it generates for you, and that you can export that code at any time. Both paid tiers include export.
How does AppAlchemy compare to Figma or Uizard?
They are answering different questions now. Figma and Uizard are design tools — you leave them with a picture of an app. AppAlchemy leaves you with an app and its code. Figma gives far more precise layout control and a steeper learning curve; AppAlchemy gives speed and a working build, with less say over the fine detail. Choose Figma if the design itself is the deliverable, AppAlchemy if the running app is.
How far do 100 credits go on the Pro plan?
AppAlchemy does not publish a conversion from credits to screens or builds, and we are not going to invent one. What it does say is that each message which builds or edits your app spends credits in proportion to the AI work involved, so an app you iterate on heavily will consume them faster than a simple one. Max exists at $200/month for 1,000 credits if Pro's 100 run short.
