Pricing & free tier — last checked
How we checked: read directly from the vendor's own pricing page — source
Decktopus has no free plan at all. Our listing previously described it as free to use with no cap on presentations or features, and repeated that in its FAQ. Both were wrong: the vendor publishes no free tier, and Pro costs $24.99 a month. The listing also carried pricingType "free", which placed a paid tool on our /free page.
| What | What we found | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | None. The pricing page lists Pro, Business and Enterprise only. New accounts receive a small credit balance at signup, described by the vendor as enough to build a three-slide presentation. | Changed since last check |
| Pro (monthly) | $24.99/month at the standing monthly rate | Confirmed |
| Pro (quarterly) | $19.99/month billed as $59.97 per three months | Confirmed |
| Pro (annual) | $9.99/month billed as $119.88 per year | Confirmed |
| Pro inclusions | 750 AI credits per month (the vendor equates this to about 150 slides), presentations and carousels, PDF/PPT/PNG export, one-click sharing, Loop practice, version history, mobile access. Single seat. | Confirmed |
| Business plan price | Not published. The plan lists 1,000 AI credits per seat per month, team workspace, brand kit, custom domain, slide analytics and priority support, but shows no figure. | Vendor doesn't publish this |
| Enterprise | Custom pricing, demo required. | Confirmed |
| Credit cost per slide | About five credits per slide. Stated on the homepage and consistent with the pricing page's own 750 credits = ~150 slides. | Confirmed |
| Cancellation | Pricing page, verbatim: "Cancel anytime from your account settings — no cancellation fees. You'll keep full access until the end of your current billing period, then your plan won't renew." No refund policy is stated for amounts already paid. | Confirmed |
| Export watermarking | Not stated on either page read. Our listing claimed "No watermarks" as a feature; the claim was removed rather than restated. | Not yet checked by us |
| "Hundreds of templates" | Not confirmed on the pages read. Removed from the feature list. | Not yet checked by us |
| Signup credit allowance | The exact number of credits granted at signup is not published; the homepage describes the allowance in terms of a three-slide deck. We quote the vendor's description rather than a figure. | Vendor doesn't publish this |
| User count | Homepage states 5M+ people have used Decktopus. This is a vendor marketing claim, attributed as such on our page and not independently verified. | Reported, not confirmed |
Editor verification notes
- The slug remains decktopus-free-presentation-generator. It holds 1,111 Bing impressions and renaming it would forfeit the ranking and add another legacy-redirect trap; the URL is a string, and the page now states plainly that the tool is not free.
- pricingType was corrected from "free" to "free-trial". This removes the listing from /free, whose entire differentiator is verified free tiers — a $24.99/month tool with no free plan had no business appearing there.
- The old pricing string was also minting a derived forever-free attribute via deriveAttributes() in the build, because that function reads the pricing prose. Rewriting the string retires the badge automatically.
- This is desk research against the vendor site read on the stated date, not a first-party account test — no account was created, so the signup credit allowance is known only from the vendor's own description.
- Prices are the USD figures shown to a logged-out visitor; regional pricing may differ.
Checked by the TheToolsVerse Verification Desk — by reading the vendor's own published pages, not by testing the product in an account. Decktopus can change prices at any time without notice. The date above is the last time we looked; if it looks old, treat every figure here as unconfirmed and check Decktopus directly before paying.

Pros
What we like
- Turns a one-line topic prompt into a complete structured deck, which removes the blank-page problem outright
- Exports to PowerPoint, PDF and PNG, so decks leave the platform and drop into an existing workflow
- Goes past slide generation into delivery - Loop practice for rehearsal, auto-branding for colours, fonts and logo
- Annual billing lands at $9.99/month against a $24.99 standing rate, one of the steeper commitment discounts in the category
Cons
Limitations
- There is no free plan. Signup credits cover roughly a three-slide deck, after which a subscription is required
- Billing is by credit, not by deck - 750 credits a month is about 150 slides, so redrafting a long deck eats the monthly allowance
- Generated designs are clean but recognisably templated, so a high-stakes client deck still needs post-editing
- The Business plan price is not published, so a team buyer cannot budget without contacting sales
- Content depth on technical topics needs human editing before the deck is presentable
Pricing
| Plan | Details |
|---|---|
| Free | No free plan exists. The pricing page lists Pro, Business and Enterprise only. New accounts receive a small credit balance at signup, which the vendor describes as enough to build a three-slide presentation and try the product. Treat it as a sample, not a free tier. |
| Paid | Pro: $24.99/month standing, $19.99/month billed quarterly ($59.97 per 3 months), or $9.99/month billed annually ($119.88 per year). Includes 750 AI credits per month (about 150 slides), PowerPoint/PDF/PNG export, one-click sharing, Loop practice, version history and mobile access, single seat. Business: 1,000 AI credits per seat per month plus team workspace, brand kit, custom domain, slide analytics and priority support - price not published. Enterprise: custom, demo required. Cancellation, per the pricing page: cancel any time from account settings with no cancellation fee, access continues to the end of the billing period, then the plan does not renew. |
No free plan. New accounts get signup credits the vendor describes as enough for a three-slide presentation; after that a subscription is required. Pro is $24.99/month at the standing rate, $19.99/month billed quarterly ($59.97 per 3 months), or $9.99/month billed annually ($119.88 per year), and includes 750 AI credits a month - about 150 slides by the vendor's own arithmetic. Business adds 1,000 credits per seat plus team workspace, brand kit, custom domain and slide analytics, at a price Decktopus does not publish. Enterprise is quote-only. What is Decktopus?
Quick Summary
Decktopus is an AI presentation generator: describe a topic and it returns a complete deck - structure, layouts, copy and images - which you can export to PowerPoint, PDF or PNG. It is not free. Decktopus publishes no free plan; a new account gets signup credits worth roughly a three-slide deck, after which Pro costs $24.99 a month, $19.99 a month billed quarterly, or $9.99 a month billed annually. Billing is metered in AI credits at about five credits a slide, so cost tracks how much you regenerate rather than how many decks you finish. Checked against the vendor pricing page on 2026-09-06.
